As a book lover, the Goodreads app has been a favorite app of mine. As a designer, The Goodreads app has been my biggest frustration. So when I was assigned to redesign an existing app I knew exactly what I wanted to choose. Goodreads is a useful tool for cataloging books and sharing what you are reading with friends, but its user interface is confusing and bland. I focused on how to make the interface more efficient, highlighting the important features and getting rid of any unnecessary ones. I also changed the color palette to reflect a more cozy and calm atmosphere.
