SCHEDULE GRAPHICS
STARS OF THE WEEK
Penn State was able to collect a number of Stars of the Week throughout the season. With these being quick turn-around graphics, I kept the layouts pretty consistent, but tried to change up layouts based on the Star Award being presented (first, second, third), if a player had received the award previously, as well as adjusting to accommodate a week where more than one player received an award.
GAME DAY GRAPHICS
With so many games throughout the season I wanted the Game Day templates to keep consistent elements while still allowing room for customization. To achieve this I broke them down into three main elements that carry across every graphic: the player cutout, the game information tag, and the Penn State Hockey logo. This allowed me to play with the composition every week and create more dynamic graphics. I also have the home game graphics on blue backgrounds and away games on white to more easily differentiate for the viewer. It was also important to me to carry the look into the post season, giving the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament game day graphics unique layouts and a more elevated feel.
POST SEASON GRAPHICS
Going into the post season my team wanted to have posts to easily highlight the next game matchups. I originally made the Matchup template for the Big Ten tournament, and after performing well on social, we decided to carry the look into the NCAA Tournament as well. Penn State Also had their first ever Frozen Four Appearance, which I took special care to make the advancing graphic for.
Although we did not get a chance to use them (rip), I prepped a National Championship Bound graphic trying to capture the emotion and foreshadowing of a first time National Championship on the horizon as well as a National Champions logo that went through the NCAA Licensing approval process.
JERSEY INFOGRAPHICS
Penn State had three alternate Jersey's debuted this season- The Throwback Jersey, "The Protector" Jersey worn for the Capitol Hockey Classic, and the Wrigley Jersey worn for The Frozen Confines. These graphics give fans a closer look at the details of each of the jerseys and used as a push for two auctions we held.
SEASON AWARDS & MILESTONES
With this season being one of the most successful in program history, I had the opportunity to work on many accolade graphics for coaches and players.
